چکیده
BACKGROUND Under scarcity of freshwater, the reuse and low-cost technological solutions applied to wastewaters seek reduce contamination users freshwater biota. RESULTS A cellulose membrane was doped with silver nanoparticles filter urban wastewater (UW) from a city in Argentina. The total amount coliforms Escherichia coli decreased by 99.6% 99.9%, respectively. leak 275 ng L?1, analyzed square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. Silver tested on HepG2 A549 mammalian cell lines showed no toxicity broad concentration range. Calculation organic matter provided dead bacteria post-filtration 347 ?g L?1 proteins, 148 nucleic acids, 57 lipids, 53 polysaccharides, indicating high availability matter. retention inorganic salts 78.5% ammonia, 6.2% nitrates, 97.6% nitrites, 19.2% phosphates. In post-filtered UW, Lactuca sativa germination test early seed between 90% 95% all dilutions tested. range 6.25% 50.0%, filtered UW significant differences hypocotyl but difference radicle length (mm) compared control made synthetic media (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION development based membranes allowed for domestic purposes garden irrigation. © 2021 Society Chemical Industry (SCI).

Emitter and filter tests for wastewater reuse by drip irrigation
Agriculture is the main user of water in Italy, as in most regions of the world. Particularly in Mediterranean regions, where it is more difficult to meet the agricultural water demand with conventional resources, wastewater reuse represents a viable option. Drip irrigation is particularly suitable for wastewater reuse because it minimises the health risks to farmers and product consumers due t...
متن کاملBiological and Chemical Filter Treatment for Wastewater Reuse
This study developed a high efficient and combined biological and chemical filter treatment process. This process used PAC (Powder Activated Carbon), Alum and attached growth treatment process. The system removals of total nitrogen and total phosphorus ratio of two were as high as 70% and 73%, moreover, the effluent water was suitable to urban and agricultural water. Also the advantages of this...
متن کاملWastewater reuse in Europe
In Europe the last two decades has witnessed growing water stress, both in terms of water scarcity and quality deterioration, which has prompted many municipalities to look for a more efficient use of water resources, including a more widespread acceptance of water reuse practices. This paper reviews European water reuse practices and sets out the map of the water reclamation technologies and r...
